Converting Sketch-Up (dae/COLLADA) to g-code:
Method 1:
1) save sketch-up file (dae extension)
2) open Meshlab and open file (select "full scene")
3) From Filters->Normals,Curvatures and Orientation->Transform: Scale,Normalize, enter X,Y and Z scaling factor
Note:
- Used 50x to convert 1" in sketch-up to 2" model (todo: clear this up)
4) Select File->Export Mesh as and select .stl
5) Open .stl in Cura and save to g-code (press "Save to file" button on bottom right hand side)
Notes:
- in Cura simply use printer Prusa i3 and keep default settings
- press "Eye" symbol on Left Hand side to access layer view
